  • JLL appointed Gul Dusi as the national life sciences industry lead for Project and Development Services for Americas Markets, based in Newport Beach. Dusi will oversee capital projects for life sciences clients, managing all stages from initial planning to operational implementation. She also leads the West Development Team. 
  • Fletcher Baker has joined Kidder Mathews as a first VP in Silicon Valley. He brings more than 35 years of experience specializing in office/R&D and manufacturing tenant advisory for technology companies. Before joining Kidder Mathews, Baker was Managing Director at Savills North America for nearly a decade. Kidder Mathews also announced the return of Stephan Ktorza as SVP in downtown Los Angeles. He previously worked at Kidder between 2017 and 2022 before opening E&R Property Group, where he was in charge of real estate nationwide for Kids Empire, a leading children’s entertainment chain. 
  • CONAM, a San Diego-based multifamily real estate company, hired Gregory Raap as EVP of property management. Raap brings more than two decades of leadership experience in the real estate industry. He will co-lead CONAM’s property management business focused on the conventional housing portfolio, while Wes Daniel, EVP of property management, will remain focused on affordable housing.
  • Pasadena-based ExchangeRight, one of the nation’s leading providers of diversified real estate DST and REIT investments, expanded its strategic relations team by adding Nick Johnson as SVP of the Mid-Pacific region. He will serve representatives, advisors, and investors in Northern and Central California and Nevada, while Danny Carmona will continue to focus on Southern California and Nevada as well as Hawaii. 
  • Wellpointe Inc., a boutique residential assisted living provider headquartered in Fresno, said that Joshua Lushtak, who had been serving as chief of staff, has been named director of corporate services. In his place, Wellpointe hired Rafal Melsztynski as its new chief of staff. 
  • Pender Capital, a Los Angeles-based provider specializing in short-term, senior secured commercial bridge loans, completed two financing transactions. The first transaction involved a $27.5-million loan for a recently renovated Class A multifamily complex in Uptown Dallas. This property features an occupancy rate of approximately 93% and comprises 159 units, with Pender Capital’s loan reflecting a loan-to-value ratio of 48%. The second loan was secured for a 320,000-square-foot office complex of institutional quality, positioned 13 miles west of downtown Newark, NJ. Pender Capital extended a $36.4-million loan aimed at refinancing this property.
