- David “Mac” McWhorter has joined the Preservation Equity Fund Advisors advisory board, bringing decades of experience in the institutional real estate industry. McWhorter is a managing director with Institutional Real Estate, Inc. and has led the firm’s Institute for Real Estate Operating Companies and IREI Advisory Partners since 2016.
- Benton (Ben) Swift has joined Westcore, a fully integrated real estate investment company, as VP of acquisitions. Swift will lead the sourcing and execution of industrial real estate acquisitions and developments across the East Coast.
- Peak Escrow announced that former Glen Oaks Escrow executives Scott Akerley and Jeff Russell have joined the independently owned escrow company as founders. Akerley and Russell reunite with Kristen Hartwick, John Salmon and Nazeli Grigorian, bringing together five longtime colleagues with extensive experience in escrow operations, company building and organizational leadership.
- Tara Anderson has joined Woodmont Real Estate Services as a regional property manager. She will oversee properties throughout Woodmont’s multifamily portfolio in the Bay Area. Anderson brings more than 25 years of property management, improved property performance and team-building experience. Most recently she oversaw 10 sites totaling 2,200 multifamily units with seven clients. Belmont-based Woodmont manages more than 13,000 apartment homes and seven million square feet of commercial space.
- RCLCO Fund Advisors and Netherlands-based a.s.r. real assets investment partners announced a strategic global alliance designed to provide cross-border investment capabilities to institutional real estate investors. The alliance unites the expertise of two research-driven firms with complementary geographic strengths and specialists, creating a coordinated collaboration focused on market intelligence, data analytics, investment strategy and implementation in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
- Colliers has relocated and expanded its Santa Barbara office to 820 State St. within the historic El Paseo development. Since establishing its presence in the market in April 2025, the firm has experienced significant growth, prompting a move from 314 E. Carrillo St. to a larger space at El Paseo.
