- Matthews Real Estate Investment Services hired investment sales agents Stewart Weston as EVP, Rosie Cooper as EVP and Fortino Reyes as sales operations manager. All three join from CBRE. Weston is based in Orange County, while Cooper is based in San Diego.
- Berkadia added senior managing director Ryan Fitzpatrick and managing directors Chelsea Jervis and CJ Angle to its investment sales platform in Irvine. Before joining Berkadia, Fitzpatrick, Jervis and Angle worked in the Orange County office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. They joined JLL from HFF after the acquisition in 2019.
- Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP continues the expansion of its real estate practice in California with the addition of Ankush R. Israni as a shareholder in its Los Angeles office. Israni joins the firm from Jones Day. With more than 14 years of legal experience, Israni represents a wide range of clients in large, complex real estate transactions nationwide.
- Los Angeles-based Ascent Developer Solutions has made executive hires for its management, construction and valuation teams. Kerri Brouilette joins AscentDS as managing director, chief credit officer, bringing more than two decades of diverse real estate and private funding experience. Additionally, Mike Corominas joins as managing director, head of valuations; Garrett Stearns as SVP, originations; Justin Bunch as SVP, loan officer; and David Rubin as VP, loan officer.
- The Dinerstein Companies (TDC), a full-service real estate and development company, appointed Josh Rebholz as VP of capital markets and Scott Wandzilak as director of capital markets. Based at the newly established TDC Los Angeles office, Rebholz and Wandzilak will spearhead capital-raising efforts for the company’s fund platform and investment management business.
- SRS Real Estate Partners has added Carlos Lopez as EVP, capital markets in its Newport Beach office. Lopez brings nearly 30 years of experience to his new role specializing in the sale of single-tenant triple-net lease retail buildings and traditional shopping centers. Before joining SRS, Lopez most recently served as an EVP at Hanley Investment Group.
- Tangram Interiors appointed Nick Meter as its new president. With a career spanning nearly two decades at Tangram, Meter steps into the role as the second president in the company’s history, bringing an extensive background in sales, operational leadership, and people management.
- Westwood Financial, a retail real estate investment firm based in Los Angeles, has closed on a $70-million term loan upsize to the firm’s unsecured credit facility. The upsize of Westwood Financial’s credit facility enables the firm to significantly progress on its path to become an unsecured borrower. Keybanc served as the agent and Capital One as the co-lead for the newly raised debt, which is a five-year term loan with two 12-month stated options in 4th and 5th years. Synovus, a new bank joining the facility, provided a $20 million commitment to the term loan.
