  • Westcore, a leading fully integrated, industrial-focused private equity firm, has hired industrial real estate veteran Andrew “Andy” Burke as CEO. Burke, who most recently led Tishman Speyer’s global industrial platform, succeeds Don Ankeny, who will retire after 20 years as CEO. Burke will lead the company from its San Diego headquarters.  
  • Todd Chayet has been appointed to VP and assistant general counsel for Skanska USA Civil‘s West region. With nearly eight years at Skanska and more than 23 years of experience in construction law, Chayet has played a crucial role as assistant general counsel for the Western region since 2017. He represents Skanska USA Civil’s West Coast operations and supports the firm’s operations across the region in states such as Washington, California and Arizona. 
  • Cushman & Wakefield hired Adam Pastor as vice chair of the firm’s Industrial Advisory Group. Based in Southern California, Pastor specializes in the structuring and execution of industrial portfolio sales, recapitalizations, joint venture equity and financing across the country. Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, Pastor worked as a managing director at Eastdil Secured for 20 years.  
  • The 100% employee-owned, integrated design firm DLR Group has named David Chow, PE, AICP, as global transportation leader. A licensed professional engineer and certified urban planner, Chow has more than 36 years of experience in the transportation and urban design industry. He joins DLR Group as a principal and will be based in Los Angeles. 
  • KHP Capital Partners, a San Francisco-based real estate private equity firm specializing in full-service hotels and resorts, hired Alex Lewis as EVP and general counsel. She will provide comprehensive legal and strategic support to the KHP funds and oversee KHP’s legal, regulatory, risk management and compliance matters. Lewis joins KHP from Goodwin Procter LLP, where she was a partner in the real estate industry group. 
  • Dome Construction appointed Nicole Matoza as CFO and shareholder. Matoza will oversee the company’s financial strategy and operational efficiency, ensuring continued fiscal strength and long-term growth. She joined Dome in 2019.
  • Trinity Investments, a private real estate investment firm specializing in hotels and resorts, has launched Trinity Asset Management Services and Trinity Development Services, two distinct offerings for third-party hotel owners and lenders. Trinity Asset Management Services will be led by Rob Tanenbaum, managing director of strategic partnerships, and Trinity Development Services will be led by Craig Lovett, managing director of development. 
  • R.D. Olson Construction, an award-winning general contractor in California, has completed AC Hotel Pasadena. The $60-million Marriott hotel was completed in 21 months and reportedly is the only branded property in Pasadena’s Playhouse Village.    
  • EAH Housing, one of the largest and most respected nonprofit housing development and management organizations in the Western U.S., has started construction for Lexington Gardens, a 48-unit affordable housing development in West Hollywood. The five-story community will feature 47 studio apartments ranging in size from 384 to 447 square feet and one two-bedroom, 869-square-foot manager’s unit, all with energy-efficient appliances, window coverings, and walk-in closets.
