  • Suffolk, a national construction manager, announced Armond Balaian’s hiring as EVP and Division Manager of Suffolk’s Silicon Valley operations. Balaian will be based out of the firm’s Milpitas office, with a focus on expanding Suffolk’s work across complex tenant improvements, retrofits, building repositioning, campus-style programs and new construction for corporate, advanced technology, healthcare, life sciences and commercial clients. 
  • Original Survey Solutions has hired Dean Jurado, PLS, to lead the expansion of the firm’s boundary surveying and mapping practice. In his role as Director of Boundary Surveying and Mapping, Dean is strengthening the firm’s in-house capabilities for ALTA/NSPS surveys, legal descriptions, records of survey, parcel and final maps, and other services supporting land development and entitlement projects throughout California and the Western U.S. 
  • Wellpointe Inc., an affordable, boutique-style residential assisted living and related healthcare services provider, has promoted Arielle Ballard to Director of Asset Operations. With over 15 years of real estate experience, Ballard plays a key role in Wellpointe’s real estate go-to-market and ongoing property management operations, including acquisitions, redevelopment, licensure, maintenance, and capital projects. 
  • Marcus & Millichap announced a strategic partnership with Brown & Brown, Inc., one of the world’s largest insurance brokerage firms. This addition is part of Marcus & Millichap’s recently launched Preferred Partner Program
  • ExchangeRight announced the full subscription of Net-Leased All-Cash 18 DST. The $52.78-million debt-free offering is designed to provide 1031 exchange and cash investors stable monthly distributions at a current annualized rate of 5.15% that is covered entirely by in-place lease revenue. The unleveraged offering features a diversified portfolio of net-leased real estate backed by historically recession-resilient tenants in necessity-based industries and located across five states. 
  • Thread Group, the industry alliance of more than 240 companies supporting the Thread wireless mesh networking protocol for IoT, and the Broadband Forum, the leading open standards organization for broadband networks, announced a liaison agreement to improve interoperability between Thread mesh networks and broadband-managed environments. The agreement establishes the opportunity for consumer electronics vendors and service providers to work together to offer fully managed service. 
  • Procore Technologies, Inc., a global provider of construction management software, announced new portfolio management and capital planning capabilities designed to transform the way owners manage capital projects through consolidated visibility and control across the entire portfolio—from early project concepts and planning to funding and operations. The new capabilities connect the full capital project lifecycle, giving owners greater visibility across portfolios to identify risk earlier, strengthen governance and make more informed capital decisions, according to Procore. 
  •  Venbrook Specialty Products Group has launched Comstar LRO, a newly enhanced property program to address the many complex exposures faced by residential and commercial real estate owners and their tenants. Venbrook Specialty Products Group is Venbrook Group’s newest business segment that builds products and programs specifically designed for niche segments. Currently, Venbrook Specialty has products in the construction and real estate sectors
