- Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP, a leading full-service law firm specializing in real estate, announced that Theodore J. Griswold has joined the firm as a partner, expanding its San Diego presence and strengthening its capabilities in Native American law, land use, environmental, and natural resources. Griswold advises tribal governments, public agencies, developers, landowners, and private clients on a broad range of complex legal matters involving Native American governance, tribal land issues, environmental permitting, natural and cultural resources, tribal consultations, habitat conservation, water resources, and land use.
- Partner Residential Consultants announced that Mike Elam has joined Partner as a Relationship Manager. Elam will help develop Partner’s Residential Construction Services by cultivating client relationships, expanding business opportunities, and supporting clients throughout the construction lending process. He will also help clients leverage the broader engineering, due diligence, and technical consulting expertise available through Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. Elam brings more than 25 years of experience spanning financial services, mortgage technology, construction lending, and residential construction risk management.
- Construction manager Suffolk has hired 30-year healthcare construction veteran Bobby Eagar as SVP, Orange County Division Manager and Healthcare Operations Leader for Southern California. Based in Suffolk’s Newport Beach office, Eagar will lead the office across multiple sectors and healthcare operations throughout Southern California, overseeing business development, project execution and operational performance.
- Special Project Delivery, an integrated platform for acquiring, developing, and operating critical-resource infrastructure across critical minerals, energy systems, and Western U.S. water resilience, appointed Mark Wood as special advisor, government & defense contract management. Wood is SVP of strategic planning at Oceanetics Inc., the Annapolis-based maritime operations and defense-contracting firm, where he is responsible for capture strategy and federal program execution across U.S. Navy and federal-agency contracts.
- Talonvest Capital was named one of the 2026 Best Places to Work in Orange County. The awards program was created in 2009 and is a project of the Orange County Business Journal in partnership with Workforce Research Group. The county-wide survey and awards program were designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Orange County.
- Strategic Storage Trust VI, Inc., a publicly registered non-listed REIT sponsored by an affiliate of SmartStop Self Storage REIT, Inc., and Strategic Storage Growth Trust III, Inc. , a private REIT also sponsored by a SmartStop affiliate, have entered into a definitive agreement and plan of merger by which SST VI will acquire SSGT III in an all-stock transaction. The transaction brings together two SmartStop-sponsored REITs, and the combined company is expected to have a total asset value of approximately $1.2 billion.
- Topcon Positioning Systems has entered a strategic agreement with GreenValley International to collaborate on technologies for surveying, mapping, construction, forestry and other spatial intelligence-related applications. Planned innovations will include integrated hardware and software solutions for handheld, aerial, and mobile LiDAR data collection and processing workflows, with developments extending into robotic systems, autonomous monitoring solutions and real-time cloud-based data processing and transfer.
