  • BioMed Realty, a Blackstone portfolio company and the largest private operator of life science real estate, has promoted three team members. They include Johan Bostrom to SVP, corporate finance & portfolio insights, John Moshy to SVP development, and Matt Masterson to VP, leasing.  
  • Cityview, a Los Angeles-based multifamily investment management and development firm, today hired Christoph Donner as principal and global head of capital development and strategy. Based in New York City, Donner will pursue new global strategic opportunities, build and maintain relationships with investors and partners, lead the firm’s fund development and capital strategy, and oversee the launch and growth of a new East Coast office. Donner was previously CEO of America PIMCO Prime Real Estate LLC (formerly Allianz Real Estate of America LLC), where he provided strategic leadership over the commercial mortgage loan business and equity investments of Allianz’s global subsidiaries in North America. During his time as CEO, the firm’s real estate investments grew from $7 billion to $22 billion. 
  • CBRE has hired Terry Bell and Joe Elliott to join its Silicon Valley office. The duo specializes in leasing office, R&D and industrial properties globally. Bell and Elliott join from Colliers. Notable clients include Nutanix, Driscoll’s, Infoblox, and Barco. 
  • Matthews Real Estate Investment Services, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, has added prominent multifamily agent Mark Bridge as EVP and senior director. Based in Orange County, Bridge specializes in the acquisition and disposition of multifamily assets throughout Southern California, with an emphasis on 20- to 100-unit properties. He brings more than 20 years of experience within the Southern California multifamily space. Most recently, Bridge was managing director at Cushman & Wakefield, where he led a group of distinguished multifamily specialists on behalf of the Bridge Multifamily Team. Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Bridge spent 17 years at Marcus & Millichap. 
  • San Diego-based Westcore, an industrial real estate acquisition, development and asset management firm, has hired CRE veteran Michael Collins as managing director, head of investor relations. Collins brings more than 25 years of experience in capital markets and has worked at premier investment firms such as Blackstone, Kennedy Wilson and Eaton Vance. Most recently he was a partner and managing director at Easterly Capital, where he oversaw all sales and marketing activities. 
  • National accounting and consulting enterprise Novogradac elevated four principals to partner as of Jan. 1: Joe Abbott of the San Francisco office; Justin Chubb Lurya of the Long Beach office; Don Sabine of the Dover, OH office; and Stefanie Singer of the New York City office. Abbott specializes in real estate taxation, general tax consulting and tax-saving techniques for high-net-worth individuals. Chubb Lurya specializes in community development and affordable housing. Sabine specializes in NMTCs, HTCs and the OZ incentive. Sabine performs numerous services related to these industries. Singer is the general counsel and chief risk officer of Novogradac. 
  • Studio Designer, a business management software platform serving 20,000-plus interior designers, promoted Tyler Vieira to CEO, effective immediately. In conjunction with this leadership transition, Keith Granet will continue as chairman of the board, where he will continue to play an active role in Los Angeles-based Studio Designer’s overall strategy.  
  • Sentral, a Class-A multifamily property management company headquartered in Los Angeles, has named Roman Speron company president. In addition to his new role, Speron will continue to serve as COO. Speron replaces Lisa Yeh, who remains on Sentral’s board. 
  • The Klabin Company/CORFAC International announced that Scott Andersen has joined the firm as a senior associate. Andersen brings more than five years of experience in industrial real estate, having previously served as VP at Okula Commercial, a boutique firm located near The Klabin Company’s headquarters in Torrance. 
  • Fil Southerland, director of healthcare solutions at Yardi, has been reappointed to the Health Information Technology Advisory Committee (HITAC) for a second three-year term, along with five others. The HITAC was established in 2016 under the 21st Century Cures Act and advises on the implementation of health information technology that advances the electronic use of health information. 
  • Clearwater Living, a Newport Beach-based real estate and property management company focused on senior living communities, announced that Ed Ward has joined the company as SVP of operations. Before joining Clearwater, Ward was the COO and acting CEO of Volante Senior Living.  
  • Carina Mills, AIA, will lead the largest American of Institute Architects state component in 2025 as President, AIA California. As 2024 VP/President Elect, Mills helped lead the completion of AIA California’s recent restructuring of its Board of Directors—a careful and considered two-year process.  
  • Avanath Capital Management, an industry-leading multifamily owner and operator focused on affordable and workforce housing, and Esusu, a pioneering company revolutionizing rent reporting and financial health solutions, announced the transformative outcomes of their partnership, offering on-time rent reporting to over 20,000 residents nationwide. The partnership has delivered measurable financial empowerment, with 63% of residents improving their credit scores and $162 million in financial access unlocked for renters. 
  • Clear Sky Capital, a privately owned entrepreneurial real estate investment, management, and development company, is seeking a Director of Development in Phoenix, AZ. This role will focus on the execution of the Company’s multifamily development and new construction strategy by managing all facets and activities related to new development projects to achieve the established financial and growth targets for the company. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of multifamily development experience, ideally having direct oversight managing projects from concept to completion.
