- Brunson Howard has joined CBRE as the market leader and senior managing director for San Diego. In this role, Howard will oversee the market’s business operations and drive their growth strategies for all Advisory Service lines, including leasing, sales, debt and structured finance, valuation and property management. An 18-year industry veteran, he most recently served as executive managing director at Newmark in San Diego.
- StoragePRO Management hired Kevin Bertelsen as VP of client investment management. Bertelsen joins Walnut Creek-based StoragePRO with 37 years of leadership experience in real estate, facility management, commercial real estate and the military. Previously he spent seven years at CBRE as a managing director, overseeing global client accounts.
- Lawrence R. Armstrong, chairman of design firm Ware Malcomb, was named by the Orange County Register to its list of 125 Most Influential People in Orange County in 2024. Highlighting people who made a difference over the course of the year, the list is compiled annually by the newspaper’s reporters, photographers, editors and reader nominations.
- Architecture firm AO promoted 18 team members to Associates. These promotions come at a time where the architecture firm is expanding into new markets and growing its capabilities in residential, retail, mixed-use, modular, hospitality, data centers and additional areas. Those promoted include: Nancy Bills, Celeste Davila, Raymond Diaz, Nadia Dobrina, Hilda Garcia, Juan Ibarra, Travis Mahoney, Ryan Martin, Rhonda Muratalla, James Pham, Phuong Pham, Helena Pineda, Craig Prestininzi and Drishti Shah.
- Global architecture and design firm HKS has made the following promotions in Southern California: Kristen Fraumeni to studio design leader, commercial/mixed use – Los Angeles studio; Niel Prunier to regional technical director – Los Angeles studio; Nikki Duffner to director of talent acquisition – Los Angeles studio; and Nancie Constandse to office director – San Diego studio.
- ExchangeRight said that for two consecutive quarters, the Essential Income REIT was the only growth or stabilizing equity non-traded REIT ranked in the highest grade for all three performance profile categories in Blue Vault’s non-traded REIT Industry Review for Q3 2024: “Operating Performance,” “Financing Outlook” and “Cumulative MFFO Payout.” The Essential Income REIT was the only NTR in its comparison class that experienced an increase in Net Asset Value per share every quarter from Q1 2024 to Q4 2024, according to ExchangeRight.
