  • Ted Eliopoulos is joining Prologis, Inc. as managing director, strategic capital. A seasoned and respected investment management executive, Eliopoulos will help Prologis continue to grow its private investment business, bringing years of experience and deep expertise. Eliopoulos will work closely with Karsten Kallevig, global head of strategic capital. Both leaders will report to Dan Letter, Prologis’ global president. 
  • Cushman & Wakefield hired Miles Treaster as president, capital markets, Americas, adding proven institutional real estate debt and equity capital markets and investment expertise to the firm’s executive leadership team. Treaster will oversee all operations and shape the long-term vision of the Capital Markets group. He will also focus on strengthening the Capital Markets platform and driving scalable growth through the strategic integration and pairing of AI technology and data. Treaster will join the firm effective Sept. 1 and will be based in San Francisco. 
  • Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) hired Brandon Dena as senior director in its Roseville, CA office. Dena joins MMCC with over 15 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and will advise on all property types including multifamily, retail, hospitality, office and industrial.  Prior to joining MMCC, Dena was with Citizens Business Bank and held positions with Bank of the West and Wells Fargo. 
  • IDB Bank, a New York-based private and commercial bank, appointed Jeremy Cramer as its new SVP and head of California commercial real estate. In this role, he will lead balance sheet CRE lending across the bank’s West Coast operations, overseeing loan originations, asset management, operations and deposit gathering. 
  • Gildred Companies promoted William Miller to Portfolio Property Manager, covering the company’s entire group of assets under ownership and management. Since joining San Diego-based Gildred Companies in 2023, Miller has assumed an increasing number of responsibilities, and with this promotion oversees all property management and operational teams and functions. 
  • Ryan Hemphill is transitioning to a new role at Banyan Utility, becoming VP of strategic sales as part of the continued growth initiative. Hemphill has been with the organization since 2015 and has more than 20 years of experience serving the multifamily housing industry. 
  • Topcon Positioning Systems announced that president and CEO Ray O’Connor will retire in September 2025 after more than three decades of leadership. O’Connor will transition to the role of chairman of the Topcon board of directors effective Sept. 1, 2024, providing guidance and support to the executive leadership team during a year of transition. Succeeding O’Connor as president and CEO is Ivan Di Federico, who currently serves as EVP and chief strategy officer for Livermore-based Topcon. 
  • BioMed Realty, a leading provider of real estate solutions to the life science and technology industries, celebrated its 20th anniversary. Founded in 2004, San Diego-based BioMed was among the first real estate companies to cater to the life science industry, delivering Class A, mission-critical lab space to the world’s greatest innovators. Since Blackstone Real Estate acquired BioMed in 2016, the company has grown significantly and is now the largest private operator of life science real estate, with a portfolio valued at more than $22 billion. 
  • AECOM and the Portal Connectors team have been selected by the Transbay Joint Powers Authority to provide program management and construction management services for the Downtown Rail Extension project, also known as the Portal. The tunneling and station megaproject will extend Caltrain service from its current terminal at Fourth and King Streets to the Salesforce Transit Center and accommodate future California High-Speed Rail service. Once complete, the extension will serve as a key regional rail connection with a combined average ridership forecast of 90,000 daily riders connecting with 11 Bay area transit systems. 
  • Jayson Woodbridge, founder and owner of Hundred Acre Wine Group, has acquired Napa Valley’s Kelly Fleming Winery, a 286-acre estate in Simmons Canyon between Calistoga and St. Helena on the east side of Napa Valley facing almost due west. The Fleming Wines estate includes 12 acres of vineyards, a 5,000-sq. ft stone winery, a 7,000-square-foot natural rock cave, a commercial kitchen and a classic stone residence on an adjacent knoll.

His tenure in B2B publishing stretches back into the print era, and he has served as Editor in Chief on four national trade publications. Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
