  • Clayton Jones has been hired by Colliers in its San Mateo office, adding to the growing office agency practice focused on leasing office, R&D and life science assets. With nearly a decade of experience advising both high-growth companies and leading institutional landlords across Silicon Valley, most recently with Newmark, Clayton brings a proven track record. 
  • Audrey Smith has joined Parkview Financial, an alternative investment firm specializing in U.S. commercial real estate credit, as director, legal, based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. She will report directly to Paul Rahimian, Parkview’s founder and CEO.  
  • 1031 Specialist announced the upcoming launch of its new online 1031 exchange property marketplace. The platform will enable investors to search and compare nationwide property listings that qualify as replacement assets in a 1031 exchange, streamlining one of the most time-sensitive aspects of the process: identifying and selecting properties within IRS-mandated deadlines. Investors will be able to access the platform beginning Oct. 1. 
  • Los Angeles-based Snappt, a platform for applicant trust in multifamily housing, formed a partnership with CLEAR, the secure identity company. Through this collaboration, Snappt integrated CLEAR’s identity platform, CLEAR1, to enable property managers to streamline applicant verification, reduce fraud at scale and minimize manual effort. 
  • SJ Group, a global consulting firm specializing in urban development, infrastructure and integrated solutions, has launched its Healthcare Advisory Services in the U.S. The expansion marks a significant milestone in SJ’s global growth and reflects its commitment to bringing future-focused, data-driven healthcare solutions to one of the world’s most complex and dynamic care markets.

Prior to joining Connect, Paul was Managing Editor for both Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com at American Lawyer Media, where he oversaw operations at both publications while also producing daily news and feature-length articles. His tenure in B2B publishing stretches back into the print era, and he has served as Editor in Chief on four national trade publications. Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
