  • Lowe has appointed Todd Majcher and Rob Reitenour to lead the company’s commercial and multifamily real estate activities in the greater San Diego area and Orange County, respectively. Majcher and Reitenour will assume responsibility for ongoing investment, development and management activities in their regions. 
  • JE Dunn Construction promoted Kyle Chase to project director. With over two decades of industry experience, including 10 years at JE Dunn, Chase has been instrumental in opening JE Dunn’s 26th office, located in Santa Clara. His experience in the aviation and mission critical markets has positioned him as a valuable asset in JE Dunn’s expansion in Silicon Valley. 
  • Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) announced the elevation of SOM principal Francesca Oliveira, FAIA, LEED AP BD+C to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) College of Fellows. Recently elected as 2024 president of AIA San Francisco, she is described as deeply dedicated to service and mentorship within the profession and has also been a champion of the newly opened Center of Architecture and Design. 
  • LightBox said its RCM capital markets technology platform is the engine powering Walker & Dunlop’s recently launched W&D investor portal. The portal is a customized and curated marketplace experience for buyers and sellers of commercial real estate and is a specially adapted configuration of LightBox RCM technology for the Walker & Dunlop broker and investor community. 
  • Yardi will sponsor the Inside Self-Storage World Expo, April 2-5 at Caesars Forum Conference Center in Las Vegas. The Santa Barbara-based company will offer a deeply discounted software bundle to help storage operators better market, manage and invest in new acquisition opportunities. In total, Yardi will showcase four platforms: Yardi Breeze Premier, Yardi Matrix, StorageCafe and Yardi Storage Manager, its new-to-market, cloud-based platform for institutional operators. 
  • Iteris, Inc. was awarded a new contract by the Orange County Transportation Authority for a countywide traffic signal synchronization project intended to increase efficiency, safety and sustainability across the entire county. Under the terms of the $9.6-million agreement, Iteris will provide signal timing design, operations and maintenance for all 34 cities in Orange County. 
  • SmartStop Self Storage REIT, Inc. announced its inaugural sponsorship of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach taking place April 19-21 in Long Beach. This marks the first time SmartStop has partnered with the racing event. Part of its sponsorship includes an exhibit in the event’s Lifestyle Expo, where visitors can see the No. 66 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet that Tony Kanaan drove in his final NTT INDYCAR SERIES race—the 2023 Indianapolis 500.
  • Turner Multifamily Impact Fund II (TMIF II) has been honored with the 2023 Closed-End Fund ESG Award from the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), highlighting the fund’s success in creating a scalable and sustainable solution to preserve thousands of units of affordable workforce housing while delivering strong market-rate returns for investors. Managed by Santa Monica-based Turner Impact Capital, TMIF II was selected by a panel of independent judges due to its track record of excellence in addressing America’s severe housing crisis with a market-driven solution.
