- Troy Pollet has joined Cushman & Wakefield as an executive director in Los Angeles. With extensive experience as both a top-producing broker for a global real estate firm and as a partner with a regional owner/operator, Pollet will specialize in representing corporate clients and investors locally and nationally. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Pollet was a partner at Cruzan, a vertically integrated owner-operator focused on acquiring and repositioning office and industrial assets throughout the West Coast. Based in Los Angeles, he focused on acquisitions and asset management for the firm. Before Cruzan, Pollet spent 10 years as a commercial real estate broker with CBRE, focusing on institutional agency leasing, investment sales and tenant representation.
- Irvine-based SDK Design Group announced changes in leadership. Kevin M. Karami will transition from his role as president & CEO to become the firm’s creative director. As part of a planned succession strategy, Karami ushered in a new generation of leadership, naming Dustin Karami as president & CEO of SDK to lead the firm’s studios and continued growth strategy, Saul Soto as principal managing the firm’s growing presence on the East Coast and Sam Payandeh as studio director managing the headquarters on the West Coast.
- Michael Schaaf has been promoted to project executive, life sciences at Novo Construction Inc. In his new position, Schaaf will leverage his 16 years’ industry experience to ensure the success of life sciences projects, focusing on operational excellence, business growth and the achievement of project goals.
- ATTOM CEO Rob Barber has once again been selected as a top executive for 2024, earning a spot on this year’s list of the Swanepoel Power 200. Barber was named a top leader in technology services among the 2024 SP 200, a definitive ranking of the residential real estate industry’s most powerful and influential leaders.
- Zonda appointed former Microsoft and IBM executive John Kahan of MidOcean Partners, as executive board member of Zonda. Serving over 30 years on for-profit and non-profit boards and roughly four decades at technology giants Microsoft and IBM, Kahan was named one of the top 15 data professionals in the world for his work in transforming and redefining business and industry.
- Temecula-based Native Real Estate, a luxury cloud real estate brokerage, appointed Christina Thomas as its chief growth officer. In her new role, Thomas, who has a background in both residential and commercial real estate, will spearhead recruitment efforts to bring in top-tier agents and drive the brokerage’s expansion strategy.
- West7Center, a carrier-neutral, Tier III facility located near downtown Los Angeles and owned and managed by Rising Realty Partners, formed a partnership with T5 Facility Management for its data center. T5 is a full lifecycle services provider with award-winning facilities management expertise.
- Matterport, Inc., a Sunnyvale-based digital twin platform, forged an agreement with Visiting Media, a provider of immersive sales enablement and channel distribution solutions for the hospitality sector. With this new agreement, Visiting Media deepens its use of Matterport’s Digital Twin Platform and Property Marketing solution as the 3D technology of choice for the thousands of hotels it supports.
