  • Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP, a Los Angeles-based, full-service law firm specializing in real estate, said attorney Jason Adams has joined the firm as a partner in Cox Castle’s litigation team. Based in Cox Castle’s Los Angeles office, Adams will focus on handling both construction disputes and insurance and risk management matters. He joins Cox Castle from Gibbs Giden Locher Turner Senet & Wittbrodt LLP, where he was a partner. 
  • John Hundley has joined Newmark as executive managing director, bolstering life science tenant advisory in Southern California. Hundley is based in the firm’s San Diego office and is joined by his team member, Jon Engle. Hundley brings over 20 years of experience specializing in multi-market life science occupier representation and landlord advisory across San Diego, Los Angeles, the Bay Area, Boston and Seattle. Before joining Newmark, Hundley served as an Executive Vice President and Engle as Vice President at Kidder Mathews. 
  • Matthews Real Estate Investment Services, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, has added Tyler Swade as VP and director within the firm’s healthcare division in Encino. In his new role, Swade will provide specialized healthcare real estate advisory and brokerage services, leveraging his extensive background as the former VP of acquisitions for American Healthcare REIT. 
  • CBRE has added Brooks Pedder, Tony Binswanger and Bo Harkins to its Walnut Creek office. Pedder joins as vice chairman; Binswanger joins as EVP; and Harkins joins as first VP. The trio specializes in selling and leasing industrial and logistics properties within Contra Costa, Solano and Napa counties, representing landlords, tenants, owner/users and institutional investors. 
  • ExchangeRight, a Pasadena-based provider and asset manager of investment real estate, has appointed Art Miller to its strategic relations team as SVP of the Northeast region to help meet growing demand from RIAs, broker-dealers, family offices and their clients for ExchangeRight’s REIT and DST portfolios. Miller will serve advisors, representatives, and their clients in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. 
  • Commercial Development Resources (CDR), a civil engineering land development firm based in Costa Mesa, announced the integration of in-house landscape architecture services. Brandon Hanna, a landscape architect with more than 20 years of experience, joins CDR as director of landscape architecture. 
  • LeaseLock, an AI-powered lease insurance provider for rental housing, announced its partnership with Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) to improve actionable environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts for the rental housing industry. GRESB collects, validates, scores and benchmarks ESG information for investors, asset managers and the industry at large. The overarching goal of partnerships with organizations such as Los Angeles-based LeaseLock is to create sustainable best practices for the industry.
