- Cityview, a Los Angeles-based multifamily investment management and development firm, promoted Shane Robinson to SVP of asset management at Cityview and Christina Bartlett to senior director of property management at Westhome Property Management, Cityview’s affiliated property management arm. In their expanded roles, Robinson and Bartlett will drive the successful management and lease-up of the firm’s development and value-add projects while furthering the strategic growth of its vertically integrated platform.
- Kidder Mathews hired Kevin Lynch as SVP in Sacramento. He brings more than 16 years of experience in commercial real estate brokerage, specializing in private capital advisory and transactional services. He also has deep expertise in educational and religious facilities. Before joining Kidder Mathews, Lynch was a senior director with Cushman & Wakefield in Sacramento for 10 years after starting his career at Newmark Cornish & Carey. He has completed 600-plus sale and leasing transactions in seven states.
- Portal Warehousing, a flexible co-warehousing company, has officially opened a location in downtown Los Angeles called Portal FlexSpace. Originally designed as commercial retail storefronts, the ground floor of the seven-story residential building has been reimagined into 100 fully customizable small- and medium-sized units for e-commerce merchants, entrepreneurs, artists, creatives and small businesses. Units can transform into retail space, product storage and fulfillment, an office solution, a podcast studio, and more to fit tenants’ needs.
- The Container Store has opened a new small format store at Topanga Gateway, a 124,709-square-foot lifestyle retail center located at 21949 Ventura Blvd. in Woodland Hills. JLL’s Michael Kahl and Steve Ferris represented The Container Store in the lease. Landlord Anderson Real Estate was represented by Andrew Turf of CBRE.
- Cove Capital Investments, LLC, a Delaware Statutory Trust sponsor company, completed the purchase of a 61,000-square-foot, new-construction industrial distribution warehouse in Frankfort, NY. The purchase is for the Los Angeles-based firm’s Net Lease Distribution 64 DST, a Regulation D, Rule 506(c) offering that is targeted to raise $13.2 million.
