Caldwell Communities, a Houston-based developer, is building Mirella, the company’s first single-family build-to-rent community. The project, set to begin preleasing homes in August, will have 204 units.

Mirella, located at 18131 Bluegrass Park Lane, Cypress, will be open by the fourth quarter of this year. Development amenities at the gated community include a walkable outdoor lake, private yards, clubhouse, pool, fitness center and an outdoor barbecue pavilion.

Caldwell Companies was formed in 1990 as a fully integrated real estate firm specializing in commercial and residential investment and development, as well as commercial brokerage and management services. 

Technically an unincorporated community of Harris County, Cypress is located roughly half an hour northwest of downtown Houston.
