CAC Breaks Ground on Luxury Resi in New Rochelle

CAC Realty Group recently joined with New Rochelle, NY city officials to break ground on The Huguenot, a 60-unit luxury mixed-use development. Slated for completion in 2020, The Huguenot will include 53 market-rate apartments and seven affordable units, along with ground-floor retail.

It’s one of the first projects designed under New Rochelle’s form-based zoning, which requires private developers to provide a community amenity—in this case, a city-sponsored art gallery—in exchange for additional building height.

“The Huguenot will be a great addition to downtown New Rochelle, offering features and amenities to its residents that suit today’s modern lifestyle,” said Frank Chechile, president of CAC Realty. He added that the team sought to bring benefits to the community “beyond just luxury amenities for our residents,” and pointed to the arrangement with the city to dedicate the larger of the project’s retail units for the city-sponsored gallery.

The Connect Apartments Conference will take place June 20, 2019 in Los Angeles. For more information, or to register, click here.
