CA Student Living Names Institutional Capital Head

Chicago-based CA Student Living, the student housing investment platform jointly owned by CA Ventures and QuadReal Property Group, hired David Rose as EVP and and head of institutional capital. Rose will play a crucial role in supporting the continued growth of the firm’s portfolio of purpose-built student housing assets by broadening its network of institutional clients.

“Our goal is to continue to scale our platform by adding 6-8 new developments and 6-8 acquisitions to our portfolio, annually,” said Michael Hales, president of student living. “David’s experience with strategy development and capital formation will be invaluable as we continue to execute on this goal.”

Rose brings more than 15 years’ real estate investment management experience to CA. Previously he served as global head of consultant relations at Chicago-based private equity firm Walton Street Capital, driving the expansion of the investor roster within existing debt platforms.
