CA Industrial Grows Leadership Team with Development Veteran

Chicago-based CA Industrial, the industrial investment and development division of CA Ventures, appointed development veteran Michael Podboy as president for the division. Podboy will build on the success of CA Industrial, launched in July 2018, with a goal of investing $500 million in speculative industrial development and acquisition opportunities throughout the U.S. over the next five years.

Podboy joins the existing team of Jim McGill, EVP of CA Industrial, and Sean Spellman, chief development officer of CA Ventures.

“I look forward to working with Sean and Jim as we advance the strategic growth initiatives for CA Industrial, a division devoted to one of the fastest-growing segments of commercial real estate today,” said Podboy.

Podboy most recently was founding principal of his own firm, Chicago-based PBRE Ventures LLC. Prior to that, he spent 11 years in progressively senior executive positions with InventTrust Properties Corp., ending as CFO, CIO and treasurer.
