C.W. Driver Debuts $52M Irvine School Project
Pasadena, CA-based builder C.W. Driver Companies has completed the 108,000-square-foot K-8 Solis Park School Campus within the Great Park Neighborhoods master-planned community in Irvine, CA. The school welcomed Kindergarten through fifth grade students this year, and will add sixth, seventh and eighth grades in coming years.
The seven-building campus includes a permanent child care facility, a design lab, an innovation lab, a special education hub and outdoor learning spaces. For physical education, there is a fitness center and indoor gymnasium. The project includes many features to foster discovery, curiosity and collaboration and was designed to meet the criteria by the Collaborative for High-Performance Schools.
“We have a strong passion for building schools at C.W. Driver knowing that our work will provide children a safe and modern place to learn for many years to come,” said the firm’s project executive Tom Jones. “The Irvine USD schools are absolutely beautiful and it’s with great pride we were included in their program.”
