C-Town Supermarket Inks Lease at Mott Haven Passive House

Igloo arranged a retail lease with C-Town, a full-service supermarket, at 425 Grand Concourse in Mott Haven, a building developed and owned by Trinity Financial and MBD Community Housing Corporation. C-Town was represented by John Oliveri of STL Realty.

In addition to the new 12,500-square-foot supermarket, the 26-story building with 277 units of affordable housing is home to a community health center, a cultural center and a 30,000-square-foot educational facility for CUNY’s Hostos Community College. 425 Grand Concourse at its completion reportedly is the country’s largest Passive House high-rise.

“Mott Haven has seen incredible residential growth over recent years which has created high demand for neighborhood retail offerings,” said Adam Joly, principal at Igloo. “As a grocery store with a wide selection of high-quality, affordable foods, we believe C-Town will be a perfect fit for the neighborhood.”
