Bystronic Breaks Ground on U.S. HQ Near Chicago
Bystronic broke ground on a U.S. corporate headquarters and advanced Experience Center in Chicago’s Hoffman Estates suburb. The 162,875-square-foot build-to-suit facility will be located off Interstate 90. Conor Commercial Real Estate is the developer, and the facility is being built by McShane Construction Company.
Lee & Associates’ Jeff Janda and Mike Plumb represented Bystronic. CBRE’s Mike Sedjo and Jack Brennan represented the developer.
The experience center will feature an advanced showroom, where visitors can experience Bystronic sheet metal processing innovations. The facility will serve as the hub for Bystronic U.S. business operations; including sales, service, spare parts and the refurbishing of used machines.
Bystronic says the investment demonstrates its continued long-term commitment to providing innovative products, services and solutions for the U.S. market. Until the new facility is completed by the summer of 2019, Bystronic will continue to operate from its Elgin, IL facility.
