BWE Secures Acquisition Financing for KSU Student Housing

BWE has arranged acquisition financing for The Beacon, a 456-bed student housing community near Kennesaw State University in Marietta, GA. Chris Carroll and Max Miller in BWE’s Chicago office originated the loan on behalf of Campus Realty Advisors.

“As Kennesaw State continues to expand its student body, communities like The Beacon are essential to meeting the growing demand for purpose-built student housing,” said Carroll. “We’re proud to work with Campus Realty Advisors to find a financing solution that fits with their goals for the property, BWE looks forward to working with new and existing partners to finance, build, and maintain quality student housing on campuses nationwide.”

Located just a half-mile from Kennesaw State’s Marietta campus at 315 Freys Gin Road, The Beacon is a 158-unit, 456-bed student housing community. Opened in time for the start of the 2022 fall semester, The Beacon is fully leased through the 2023-2024 academic year.
