Burned-Out LV Apartments Rising From the Ashes
The Kaktus Life Apartments in Las Vegas was supposed to have 608 rooms, 5,000 square feet of retail and a high-end amenity package. But in June 2023, the 75% complete complex burned to the ground. The project cost was pegged at $90 million. Some said it was the most intense and destructive fire in the town’s history. It happened quickly, as the flames were fanned by 20-30 mph winds.

There was no finding of foul play, and the developer, Tru Development, decided to rebuild. The new project is expected to be similar to the original building.
TRU Development Company is based in Las Vegas, specializing in retail, office, hotel, and residential real estate development. Management at TRU has the collective experience of over 10,000 units of multifamily development and construction (low, mid and high-rise) and extensive expertise in real estate development.
