Burlington Coat Factory Signs Long-Term Lease in Rogers Park

Ashkenazy Acquisition Corporation (AAC), a private real estate investment firm led by CEO and Chairman Ben Ashkenazy, announced that Burlington Coat Factory has signed a long-term lease at its Gateway Centre retail destination in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood.

AAC was represented in-house on the transaction. Located at 7507 N Clark St. on the shore of Lake Michigan, the 200,000-square-foot Gateway Centre is nearly 95 percent leased and anchored by Jewel Osco and LA Fitness. The center is just under three miles from downtown Evanston and nine miles from Chicago’s central business district.

The new Burlington Coat Factory store is scheduled to open by year’s end. “Burlington Coat Factory joins other excellent retail tenants at Gateway Centre,” said Ashkenazy Acquisition COO Joe Press. The highly visible property is connected to the Howard CTA Station and with easy access to the surrounding communities and downtown Chicago.
