Burlington Coat Factory Expands in Relocation to 620 Ave. of the Americas

RXR and Hudson Bay Capital secured the tenancy of Burlington Coat Factory at 620 Ave. of the Americas in the Flatiron District. The retailer is relocating from approximately 40,000 square feet at 695 Ave. of the Americas into a 77,970-square-foot space at 620 formerly occupied by Bed Bath & Beyond, with a 12-year lease term.

Cliff Simon of CNS Real Estate represented the tenant. RXR was represented in-house by Daniel Birney and by a RIPCO Real Estate team of Richard Skulnik, Lindsay Zegans, Ben Sabin and Mary Schwagerl.

This past October, RXR, through its Office Recovery Fund, partnered with Hudson Bay Capital to acquire and recapitalize 620 Ave. of the Americas. Over the past 12 months, the property has executed nearly 479,000 square feet of new office and retail leases and extensions on longstanding office tenants, including Cole Haan’s 11-year renewal for 62,262 square feet of headquarters space.
