Building Boom Underway at UNF

The University of North Florida unveiled Osprey Ridge, a 165,000-square-foot, four-story building that cost $77.5 million. It has room for 520 beds.

The new residence hall, designed by PBK and constructed by Ajax Building Company, will be open to students this fall semester. It includes living areas, study space, a convenience store, outdoor amenities, and more. Osprey Ridge marks UNF’s first major housing expansion since 2009. Things are just getting started.

Further from the core of campus, the university has also leased 17 acres of university-owned land for a four-building residence hall with 250 units for approximately 700 beds.

That project will bring the university’s on-campus student housing capacity to around 5,000 beds.

Elsewhere on campus, the Coggin College of Business is in phase two of its $44.3 million expansion and merger with the adjacent Building 10, which has been under construction since 2023. A student support and services building in also in the plans.
