Building Boom Surrounds Wrigley Field
There’s a building boom going on around Wrigley Field in Chicago. Four development projects are now underway, as baseball season throws out its first pitch.
Construction zones surrounding the stadium include:
Addison & Clark is under development on a site south of the stadium. The mixed-use complex includes 148 apartments, 146,000 square feet of commercial space and 400 indoor parking spaces. The project is slated to open summer 2018.
The Park at Wrigley Field is “Wrigleyville’s” town square for Cubs’ fans that features retail and restaurants. A five-story office building housing the baseball team’s front office overlooks the plaza.
Hotel Zachary is a seven-story hotel under construction by Hickory Street Capital (Ricketts family, Cubs owner). Slated to open in 2018, the 175-room property overlooks the plaza.
Wrigley Annex is a new retail and restaurant space at the corner of Addison and Sheffield, slated to open in 2020.
