Buc-ee's looking to put chain's biggest store in Goodyear

Buc-ee’s Exploring First Arizona Store

Buc-ee’s is well known in Texas and some bordering states. But most Arizonans have likely never heard of the Texas-sized gas stations. The company is considering a store in Goodyear. And if the company follows through on the dimensions of the property in the zoning request, it could very well be the biggest Buc-ee’s ever.

The largest operating Buc-ee’s is 74,707 square feet, but the location proposed in Goodyear would be approximately 75,400 square feet. If the proposed Buc-ee’s stays that size once built, it would become the world’s largest convenience store.

The company has still not closed on the land, so it is unclear when construction could start on the project and when it would open for business.

Buc-ee’s locations often take over a year to construct and hire up to 200 employees.
