BU Kilachand Hall Completes Renovation

Finegold Alexander Architects has announced the completion of the Kilachand Hall renovation at Boston University. A collaborative effort with Consigli Construction Co., Inc. and Owner’s Project Manager LeftField, the 114,650-square-foot venture aimed to amplify the student experience.

The ninth-floor reconstruction crafted versatile spaces fostering collaboration, study, and community engagement. Emphasizing accessibility, the redesign included accessible rooms and upgraded life safety measures. The renovation prioritized sustainability, aiming for LEED Gold certification through energy-efficient systems, daylight utilization, and rooftop photovoltaics.

“The Kilachand Hall renovation represents a significant achievement in enhancing the living and learning environment for the Kilachand Honors College community,” says Rebecca Berry, principal and President, at Finegold Alexander. “This project has been many years in the making, and we are honored to have worked with Boston University and our project partners in the creation of this welcoming, accessible, and vibrant space for the benefit of todays and future students.”
