BRP Breaks Ground on Mixed-Income Apartments in New Rochelle

BRP Companies, the Urban Investment Group within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, the City of New Rochelle, Westchester County officials and additional project partners broke ground on 500 Main St., a 26-story, 477-unit, mixed-income residential complex in downtown New Rochelle, NY. Financing for the project was provided by Goldman Sachs and Merchants Bank.

Slated for completion by the end of 2024, 500 Main St. will also include approximately 24,000 square feet of amenity spaces. In addition, 119 of the 477 homes will be affordable.

“An area currently experiencing a significant rebirth, we’re proud to be playing a role in Downtown New Rochelle’s ongoing revitalization efforts as well as deliver another avenue of both market rate and affordable housing to the community,” said Meredith Marshall, co-founder and managing partner of BRP Companies.

BRP is undertaking the project in conjunction with Skycore Builders, a New York-based construction company.
