brookLAND is Underway in Portland’s Brooklyn Neighborhood

Portland-based Ethos Development LLC recently broke ground on brookLAND, a 166-unit multifamily housing development in the Brooklyn Neighborhood of SE Portland, OR. The 128,000-square-foot five-story transit-oriented project will consist of 166 apartments and a tea shop integrated into the building’s common space.

The project includes a wide variety of unit types including five three-bedroom units and two studios affordable to those earning 60 percent of area median income. brookLAND also features 28 micro studios that provide market rate affordability, a fitness studio, a sauna, a building lounge/workspace and a roof deck.

“We are excited to contribute to the next chapter for the Brooklyn neighborhood with a design-forward building, particularly at a time when housing is so badly needed,” says Paul Del Vecchio, founding principal of Ethos Development.

Portland-based Hacker Architects designed the project. Portland-based R&H Construction, the general contractor, supported pre-construction and is building the project.
