Brookfield Properties to Redevelop Cumberland Mall as MXU Project

Brookfield Properties has filed plans for the redevelopment of the eastern portion of Cumberland Mall, a 1 million-square-foot mall in Atlanta’s Cumberland-Galleria submarket.

Plans for the revamped mall include a town center with 445,000 square feet of office space, 312 multifamily units, 31,200 square feet of retail and restaurant space and 10 bus bays.

The Cumberland-Galleria submarket has changed substantially in recent years with the addition of the Atlanta Braves ballpark, Truist Park and the attached Battery Atlanta mixed-use development. Cumberland Mall is located across Cobb Parkway from Truist Park and Battery Atlanta.
