Brookfield Buying Manhattan Asset for $255M

Real estate funds managed by Brookfield are acquiring 333 West 34th St. in New York from New York REIT, Inc. (NYRT) for $255 million. The 346,728-square-foot asset is being divested as part of NYRT’s planned liquidation as it winds down operations.

The 10-story Midtown, Manhattan commercial real estate property is 100% occupied by four tenants, including the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, The Segal Company, Godiva Chocolatier and Sam Ash. Located on the north side of West 34th St., between 8th and 9th Avenues, the property sits between the Herald Square and Hudson Yards submarkets.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Adam Spies, Doug Harmon, Josh King, Adam Doneger and Kevin Donner are handling the sale. The transaction is expected to close prior to year-end.
