Brookfield Advances 660 Fifth Redevelopment

Brookfield unveiled new renderings for its repositioning of 660 Fifth Ave. in Midtown. The $400-million redevelopment of the 1950s-vintage office tower, led by architect Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, is expected to be completed in 2022.

“660 Fifth Ave. is getting a new life as a sustainable commercial destination,” said Sabrina Kanner, Brookfield EVP for development, design and construction. “Just like 5 Manhattan West, we believe this can be a model for how to preserve and upgrade our city’s existing office stock to create the best-in-class spaces that companies are looking for.”

KPF principal Doug Hocking added that the “significant changes” will make the property “look and feel like a whole new building.”

Brookfield’s Jeremiah Larkin, Duncan McCuaig and Mikael Nahmias, and Cushman & Wakefield’s Bruce Mosler, Josh Kuriloff and Robert Lowe, are marketing the redeveloped space. The repositioning includes an opportunity for naming rights.
