Bronx Leasehold Comes with Air Rights, Garage
Ariel Property Advisors has been retained to sell the leasehold of 840 Westchester Ave., a 53,705-square-foot retail/office property on one of the Bronx’s busiest commercial corridors. The newly-constructed building contains a below-grade, 74-car garage as well as 83,321 square feet of air rights.
“This asset offers investors a rare opportunity to buy the leasehold interest of a newly-built building that has a strong tenant base and sits along one of the most active commercial thoroughfares in The Bronx,” said Jason M. Gold, director at Ariel. Together with his colleagues Victor Sozio and Orry Michal, Gold is representing the property’s ownership.
840 Westchester contains two office units and two retail units. It’s anchored by a Rite Aid and Dollar Tree on the ground floor, while the second floor is occupied by community-based organizations with long-term leases.
