Top Broker Honoree: NKF’s Kevin Shannon

Kevin Shannon joined NKF in December 2016, and serves as co-head of U.S. capital markets, based in the firm’s El Segundo, CA office. In this capacity, Shannon leads a 30-member team that focuses on the disposition and acquisition of investment properties on behalf of both domestic and offshore investors.

Over the past 24 years, Shannon has sold more than $73 billion of office, industrial, self-storage, retail, land and mixed-use assets. His experience includes 100% fee simple, partial interest recapitalizations and joint venture transactions.

In 2019, Shannon led the closing of a total of 138 transactions valued at $8.225 billion. This marked a significant increase from 2018, which saw the closing of a total of 112 transactions valued at $5.96 billion.

About Paul Bubny

Paul Bubny serves as Senior Content Director for Connect Commercial Real Estate, a role to which he brings 16-plus years’ experience covering the commercial real estate industry and 30-plus years in business-to-business journalism. Prior to joining Connect, Paul was Managing Editor for both Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com at American Lawyer Media, where he oversaw operations at both publications while also producing daily news and feature-length articles. His tenure in B2B publishing stretches back into the print era, and he has served as Editor in Chief on four national trade publications. Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
