Top Broker Honorees: JLL’s Jose Cruz, Kevin O’Hearn, Michael Oliver and Steve Simonelli

Led by senior managing director Jose Cruz, JLL’s New Jersey capital markets team completed more than 50 deals across the Tri-State region last year, with deal volume approaching $3.8 billion. The team of Cruz and Kevin O’Hearn joined HFF from Cushman & Wakefield in 2010; with team members Michael Oliver and Steve Simonelli, they moved over to their current employer with JLL’s acquisition of HFF last July.

Among the team’s most significant deals of 2019 was the sale of The Peaks of Nanuet, a 504-unit apartment complex in the Rockland County suburb of Nanuet, NY, north of New York City. A joint venture between Harbor Group International and Azure Partners traded the highly-sought-after asset to Mill Creek Residential Trust for a reported $180 million.
