This past year was a very successful one for Colliers International’s multifamily team of Cindy Cooke and Brad Cooke.  In 2019, the Phoenix-based duo closed $1 billion in transactions, totaling 9,349 units.

The team’s most significant transaction involved the Houston 7 Portfolio sale, consisting of 2,239 units. While based in Arizona, Cooke and Cooke developed a multi-state brokerage team to acquisition and disposition services to clients for on- and off-market portfolios, as well as individual multifamily investment properties. The multi-state team provides more insight and options for investments, based on return requirements.

As an example, the Cookes can sell a client’s property in a 4% cap market, while providing the client with options to reinvest the proceeds in a 5% cap market. This can be seamlessly completed, as members of the team are situated in different markets throughout the United States.
