Broadwind to Expand Abilene, TX Facility

Broadwind Energy has approved $4 million to expand the company’s Abilene, TX manufacturing facility. The expansion plan is expected to boost wind tower production capacity approximately 30% to 200 towers annually. The company headquarters is in Cicero, IL, and the Abilene plant is at 1126 Arnold Blvd. The company’s Abilene offices are at 300 Wall St.

Broadwind President and CEO Stephanie Kushner stated, “The strong demand for wind energy in the Texas region supports this expansion of our Abilene facility. We are moving forward aggressively to bring this additional 30% capacity on line which should support incremental annual revenues of approximately $15-20 million, while adding some important operating flexibility.”
