Broadstone Promenade Brings Much-Needed Housing to Long Beach

Broadstone Promenade, the project of Long Beach-based Studio T-Square 2 and its affiliate office in Oakland, has broken ground and construction is underway. Completion is estimated for June 2023.

Broadstone Promenade is an eight-story U-shaped podium-style building featuring 189 market-rate residential units atop 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Plans call for a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans ranging from 545 to 1,289 square feet.

“This project adds much-needed housing to our city and brings even more character and diversity to the heart of downtown Long Beach, linking The Promenade to Pine Avenue,” says Robert Garcia, Long Beach mayor.

Situated at 201 The Promenade North in downtown Long Beach, the project was initially entitled by Raintree-Partners in 2018 and dubbed Inkwell. It was acquired  by Irvine-based Alliance Residential Company in 2019 and renamed Broadstone Promenade. Alliance has retained the original Inkwell design by Studio T-Square 2.
