Brixton Capital Launches Multifamily Investment-Management Platform

Brixton Capital’s Residential division has launched an integrated multifamily investment-management initiative designed to help institutional investors, family offices, lenders, joint venture partners and other owners improve the performance and value of complex multifamily assets. The initiative combines Brixton’s institutional investment and asset management capabilities with the operating expertise of its affiliate, United Apartment Group.

“We see a meaningful opportunity to partner with owners and investment groups that have good real estate but need a different investment-management solution,” said Brixton VP of residential acquisitions Mark Mandala. “There are many multifamily assets where the underlying property remains fundamentally attractive, but the existing sponsor may not have the capital, operating infrastructure or institutional asset-management capabilities required for the next phase of ownership. We believe this is a particularly compelling opportunity because we are not simply offering another property management solution—we can bring together the investment strategy and the execution platform under one roof.”

Brixton’s Residential division is particularly focused on multifamily assets where ownership is seeking a new investment-management or operating partner, or where the property requires a broader restructuring of its business plan.
