British Fashion House Establishes Manhattan Presence with UES Lease
British fashion house Ralph & Russo has leased 5,800 square feet at Thor Equities’ 680 Madison Ave. Thor CEO Joe Sitt said the new tenant, a “favored brand of royalty, Hollywood stars and A-listers,” was the ideal fit for 680 Madison.
Ralph & Russo will be joining a tenant roster that includes Tom Ford, which leased 12,300 square feet at the Upper East Side property for its new Manhattan flagship. Others housed at 680 Madison include luxury men’s brand Brioni, exclusive eyewear collection Morgenthal Frederics, and art gallery Barrington Fine Arts.
David Baker of Isaacs and Company represented the tenant in the deal. Thor Equities’s Sam Polese, Albert Dayan and Alexandra Frangos represented ownership. Built in 1951 by the Astor Estate as a hotel, 680 Madison eventually was converted into a luxury apartment and retail property.
