Brim Joins Advocate CRE Advisors as COO

Michael Brim, a 32-year veteran of Chicago real estate, has joined Advocate Commercial Real Estate Advisors as COO. He brings a blend of blend of operational, financial, real estate and entrepreneurial experience to his new role.

Prior to joining Advocate, Brim was CFO for Placid Investors Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC), where he was responsible for the successful operations of four autonomous entities.

Before the UBC, Michael was the CFO and COO of four major Chicagoland commercial and industrial real estate firms, leading all aspects of operations, management, internal controls, tax planning, accounting, risk management, benefits, information technology and human resources. Brim also co-led the successful merger/negotiations of US. Equities with CBRE.

Prior to that, he was a principal for several successful start-up companies where he led overall business strategies, financial practices and operations.
