Bridgeport I Logistics Facility Wins NAIOP Honor

Bridge Development Partners’ Bridgeport I Logistics Center project in Perth Amboy, NJ has been selected by the New Jersey chapter of NAIOP as its 2018 Industrial Deal of the Year recipient. Completed last October, the $240-million project was part of a larger, $695-million national core portfolio sale to Duke Realty.

The three-building Bridgeport I was built on a remediated brownfield site that formerly housed American Smelting and Refining Co. Shortly after its completion, Target Corporation leased more than half the property’s 1.3 million square feet of industrial space.

Bridge’s Jeff Milanaik (pictured), who won the NAIOP chapter’s annual Impact Award, called the project “a textbook example of public/private partnerships and how they work. If it weren’t for the unwavering support of Mayor Wilda Diaz and the City of Perth Amboy, this project would never have moved forward.”
