BRIDGE Housing Breaks Ground on Beaverton Affordable Project
Nonprofit developer BRIDGE Housing is celebrating the groundbreaking of Goldcrest Apartments, a 75-unit affordable apartment complex, located in the South Cooper Mountain neighborhood of Beaverton, OR. The community will be affordable to families earning 30%-60% of the Area Media Income.
“We are delighted to bring 75 quality affordable homes to South Cooper Mountain because inclusive housing options make communities stronger and better for everyone,” said BRIDGE Housing CEO Ken Lombard. “We’re especially proud that Minority, Women and Emerging Small Business contractors represented 39% of the construction team and 82% of professional services for Goldcrest.”
The facility will consist of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with a community room, onsite services and laundry rooms on each level. Surrounded by new market-rate single-family and multifamily residences, Goldcrest will ensure that permanently affordable homes are a part of the community. The site also has proximity to parks, schools, retail services and future transit expansion.
