Bremerton Breaks Ground on Quincy Square Development

The city of Bremerton, Washington, recently hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at the Roxy Theatre to mark the start of the Quincy Square project. The four-block-long festival street is inspired by and named for the late record producer and composer Quincy Jones.

The project vision for Quincy Square on 4th, according to the city, is “to revitalize a long-neglected street into an active, housing-based, day-to-night urban center with focused arts, entertainment, and evening-centric retail spaces.”s

The city began designing Quincy Square in 2018, and design and permitting were completed in 2023. Construction will take place in 2025. The project celebrates the legacy of Quincy Jones, the famed musician and producer who lived for years in Bremerton. Quincy Square will stand as a tribute to his influence and his connection to the city.
