BREIF Launches Investment Offering on $400M Seaport Life Sciences Building
Small Change and the Boston Real Estate Inclusion Fund (BREIF) are offering an investment opportunity in a $400 million life sciences building at 22 Drydock Avenue in Boston’s Seaport District. Developed by Related Beal, the project looks to be Boston’s first life sciences building with LEED Platinum and net-zero carbon emissions, pre-leased to Vertex Pharmaceuticals.
BREIF’s investment emphasizes diversity and inclusion, partnering with Basis Investment Group (BIG), a minority and woman-owned enterprise. BIG’s minority equity investment is syndicated to individuals, particularly targeting BIPOC and female investors.
Investors can participate through the Small Change platform. “We are proud to be included in this project and to offer qualified, accredited investors of different backgrounds the opportunity to achieve investment returns typical of a ground-up development in a key life sciences submarket, with a developer of Related Beal’s caliber, along with the benefit of Vertex’s lease commitment,” says Richard Taylor, partner at BREIF.
