Deloitte Commits to 800K SF at Hudson Yards

Accounting and consulting giant Deloitte has agreed to lease nearly three-quarters of a planned office tower at Related Cos.’ Hudson Yards, according to the Wall Street Journal. Deloitte has committed to move its North American headquarters to approximately 800,000 square feet of the 1.1 million-square-foot tower known as 70 Hudson Yards, the WSJ reported, citing sources familiar with the transaction.

Related reached an agreement with Deloitte even before breaking ground on the new office tower, which is expected to begin in June. The more-than-60-floor tower will be the largest ground-up U.S. office development to start construction since the pandemic.

Office demand in New York is back at levels not seen since before the pandemic. In the first quarter of 2025, occupiers leased 7.9 million square feet of office space in Manhattan, well ahead of the five-year quarterly average of five million square feet, according to CBRE Group. Amazon and Santander Bank were among the major firms to commit to new space last quarter, CBRE said.
