Brazos Residential Picks Up Challenging Grand Prairie Apartment Asset
180 Multifamily Properties sold The Watson, a 248-unit apartment community in Grand Prairie, located roughly midway between Dallas and Fort Worth.
Wes Racht, Nick Fluellen, and Bard Hoover of Marcus & Millichap represented 180 Multifamily and procured the buyer, Brazos Residential.
Brazos’s Wyatt Simmons added this, “The Watson was a particularly complex transaction as it required a highly structured partnership and waterfall, rescue capital, and navigating a distressed seller and property, but that complexity is exactly where we continue to find opportunity. “
The Class A property was built in 2018. Units come in one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Amenities include a pool, playground, fitness center, clubhouse and conference room, two courtyards and a bocce ball court.
The property is just off Texas State Highway 360, near Interstate 30, close to the Grand Prairie Premium Outlets and Joe Pool Lake.
