Branch West Ventures, Bascom JV on Orange MF Development

BWV W. Katella, LLC, a joint venture between Newport Beach, CA-based Branch West Real Estate Partners, LLC and Irvine, CA-based The Bascom Group, LLC, acquired a 1.1-acre parcel at 1725 West Katella Ave. in Orange CA. The site is entitled and planned for the development of a five-story, 94-unit mid-rise multifamily community.

Bellwether’s Tom Kenny and Josh Boehling secured preferred equity from Houston-based Marble Capital, and a construction senior loan from the Bank of the West.

The Class A project will feature a courtyard with a “spool,” fitness center, club room and roof deck to observe fireworks from nearby Disneyland. The site is adjacent to the Stadium Promenade Shopping Center, and near Honda Center, Anaheim Stadium and The Grove of Anaheim.

Branch West’s Brad Perozzi says, the site provides a “tremendous canvas to develop a boutique residential community where residents can enjoy adjacency to so many retail and entertainment venues.”
